Sold a pup and the owner is looking for a trainer in the Wilmar Minnesota area. Pointer/versitle dog experience. Pup is Pudelpointer.

Not aware of any trainers personally in the immediate Wilmar area.

i have no personal experience with these kennels. Some are breeders, some do training as well. Either way they may be able to put you onto someone who specializes in training Pudels, Wires etc...

Rock Creek kennels in Rush city MN. : http://www.pudelpointers.net/

Marshland gundogs: http://www.marshlandgundogs.com/

Here is a trainer that trains basically all breeds, but specializes in Pointing breeds. Chad Hines (owner) of Willow Creek Kennels. His specialty is raising and training Shorthairs. Great reputation. http://www.willowcreekkennels.net/

If that doesn't work you can always contact someone at So. Mn NAVHDA chapter for info on training and or trainers in your region. http://www.somnnavhda.org/

That should keep you busy for a little while.

You may want to look into Willow Creek Kennels in Little Falls. I have seen a few seminars by Steve and Jodi, they really know their stuff. They breed shorthairs.

Here is a link to Aaron's site. He is a great guy. Went to the same school as I, so he has to be.:D Any way he spent years training for a high dollar operation down in MS and now for a few years or so has moved back to MN and built his place there. He will get the job done for you.

Thanks guys. A couple good leads. The Little Falls and Sherbourne areas look best. Pudelpointer wise a pup should get some introduction to the water. I'll check the Southern Minnesota NAVHDA GROUP TOO.

Buck,

I've taken Kasota to Willowcreek. I would recommend sending them there. You can have them give me a call if you want. You've got my number. Kevin

Thanks Kevin. Your approval is all I need and it is the closer trainer.
Chris bred Sidney (Kasota's sister) to Cedarwood's Cecil Bordeux Weds. He is one of the tee retrievers for Boise State.

Can anyone tell me more about Aaron Gudahl at GunDogRoad.com ?

I have a young dog I'm thinking of taking to a trainer.

You might consider Scott Beynon of Freeman, SD. (45-minutes SE of Sioux Falls, so he's not terribly far away from you.) Scott has a pretty incredible history of training for NAVHDA events, and has a solid retriever background as well. He was kind enough to take me under his wing a year ago, and helped me a lot. He took three dogs the the Invitational that year and all three passed. He also trained seven or eight Pz 1 UT dogs that year, and a bunch of Pz 1 NA dogs.
