Will be camoed and sitting by an overflow pond, shotgun in hand for dove, in THREE DAYS. Hard to believe.

Loading up the wife and kids tonight for a bit of scouting. Setting my email and purchase order approvals to VACATION mode:cheers: Think about me Thursday morning when the sun comes up as I will remember you and have a vision of what you're seeing. You can picture green grass and rolling hills in front of my sunrise, right here in my home, the Flint Hills of KS:)

I will have the sun coming up on my back and doves flying low and hot a few feet over the vines. They always seem to fly low on opening morning.

160 acres harvested winterwheat, pond with tress and power lines 80 yards away--lots of doves and I can't wait.:10sign:

Gonna give it a go close to home just me & the dog alone opening morning amid the cottonwoods & sunflowers alongside a small stream @ daylight on Thurs for a little while be4 work...then out again in the evening after work underneath a small grove of trees beside a rare, clean-banked watering hole near a millet & milo field. Will be breakin the MOJO out to help draw 'em in for a close look...Should get at least a few, will be nice just to be out!

After that, got out-of-state visitors coming & a full slate of non-hunting activities for labor day Wknd - then it's on to archery chasin some of these Big Bulls I see startin to get a little testy here around the house, full-on mayhem should be breakin out in another week or two - will hopefully wind up with something a little bigger than a few dove breasts for the freezer...
