came across these guys last Friday am, on the way to work. They where about 10 yards of the road fighting. As I slowed down to check it out, I realized they where hung up. After a couple of phone calls, one to my sons, and one to the Sheriff, we found them exhausted laying in a milo field not 20 yards from where I last marked them. Both bucks where both alive when we found them. After another call to GW, they decided to issue a salvage tag for one while we decided to tag one ourselves. The deputy shot one with his pistol and my son shot one with a crossbow, per GW instructions. As you can see, the way they where locked exposed their underbellies. The yotes would of had a field day. The bigger buck (9 points) is right at 140 while the smaller(8) was right at 125. Looking for head mount ideas, if anyone has any, feel free to share.
The real killer thing about this, the next am, on the way to a different field, I drove by this place, and a real monster walked across the road, heading into the milo. Hope it cools off soon.
