Oh f***king mortgage!
The thread reminds me when I was in a difficult situation with a house loan 3 years ago. I failed with payments because of the divorce from my ex. We were fighting about our dog as well. At that time I lived in London and I was really disoriented with money making. I decided that I need a credit extension and went to some lenders but most places were not ready to do it for me. I could not get credit for a long time, sure it is not about racism lol (I have a friend who likes to say about all my failures that "it`s all because you black, dude")
Just my job wasn`t really that good for getting any bank loans, especially for a mortgage. One company located in Coventry helped me out that time Mortgage Advice Doncaster they are cool guys, many thanks, now my parents live in that house

Yeah he did but you’ll still need the GSPs to retrieve the birds the setters won’t.Just had to get a shot in on a GSP

My GSP is well rounded. I’ve seen him show up labs when dove and teal hunting. He puts me on quail and trails wounded game. He can bash the shorthair all he wants. Just means he’s jealous lol.

Depending on your location, $1000- 1200 seems about right for a bird dog from good hunting lines and breed appropriate health checks (hips). While that may be close to your mortgage, do remember that the initial cost of the puppy is quite small when compared to the long term costs of feeding, veterinary care, kennels, e-collars, training equipment, training birds, and everything else. You’re spending money on a partner for the next several years and more.
My recommendation is narrow down to your top 2 or 3 breeds and visit some local breeders you can establish a relationship with, see their training styles, find out what they hunt, and see their dog’s demeanor in person. Pick from the breeder you’re most comfortable with.
