Look what I got…

Stopped at a pawn shop on my way between Wichita Falls and home. This was on the shelf. $999, so $1080 out the door with eight; yes, 8 boxes of shells. Six boxes of 7 1/2 and two boxes of 4’s. Gun in Near new condition. No box and only modified choke. Seller said it was marked wrong but would honor price if I bought it…and out the door it went.

Maybe a little. But I would have to go to confession over all my 16’s.
  • New A5 as mentioned
  • 67 A5 mint: traded a beat up Benelli M2 even
  • NIB 2004 Browning Feather O/U: given to me by my dad
  • Franchi Renaissance O/U $600 from an O/U hater.
I’ve done well!

Normally I would say a good reason to avoid the 16s is the availability of ammo. In this shortage, it might be easier to find those shells than 12 gauge pheasant loads. I don't collect a lot of shotguns, have one I always use, and I shoot it well, I don't switch around, I am not that good of a shooter. I have 4 other 12s (2 I have never shot, the other 2 I haven't shot 10 shells through) for back-ups or loaners if needed. Now varmint rifles, I have a bevy of those! Good deals are always fun!

Let me know if you need chokes for that gun. I have IC,M,F set for that gun that I will let go for a good price.Mine was changed to Briley so don't need them. Oh enjoy and yes you got a sweet deal. Tom

Nice find, I just picked up a new one last week that I got for 1500 out the door with two boxes of shells. On the way home I picked up another three boxes of ammo from a couple of local stores. I see a lot of 16 gauge ammo around here all the time and I thought I had a good deal.
