Live Pheasant Photos

Time is scarce for me these days so my visits to this sight are brief. Regardless, each time I take a look at this thread I can't help but to say "oh wow", "amazing", "beautiful", etc.

Pat, you've managed to photograph these wild, elusive ringneck pheasants in so many different positions and with such clarity/guilty in your photos. Thank you!

Do you know those days you walk for miles through snow covered fields in the late season? While doing so, staring at nothing but white-brown grass, and maybe a drab-colored hen pheasant from time to time. Then, finally after hours of working the cover and watching the dog run back and forth the sound of fast beating wings with bright colors and beauty erupts from the snow covered ground and into the air and WOW(!) does he stand out from his surroundings. So beautiful there's a sense as if he doesn't fit in or in some way he's a freak of nature. In such moments I can't help but to say "thank you Lord".

And to you Pat, thank you again from your photos. Amazing work my friend.
