lead shot on public hunting

Can u use lead shot on wiha. Goin south of hays and was seeing what was legal on the public hunting areas out there. Thanks
 
All specific waterfowl areas are non-tox for everything. WIHA's are generally any shot unless otherwise posted.
 
As a rule of thumb, I'd carry at least a handful of non-tox with your gear. I've stumbled on several nice pieces of ground, only to see it's non-tox only. Can't remember if Kansas has this rule or not, but some states require that you only possess non-tox in your vest while in the area as well.
