Well this weekend was likely my last of the year...got knee surgery coming soon so we headed west again. Hit a bunch of WIHA with my brother and a buddy. Got into a big covey of quail later yesterday afternoon and some roosters but the roosters were getting up outta range. Shot a few quail. Today we hunted a couple hours in the morning after the rain killed one rooster and a couple more quail. Rooster had 23.5" tail feather--longest I've seen. My brother's Draht is pretty impressive. My young lab needs some work.

Nice job. That's definitely a good tail feather in my book! Good luck with your knee surgery.
 
Glad you had a good hunt, hope you have a speedy recovery after surgery.
