Jury Duty May Nix Turkey Opener

Got noticed up for jury duty for a two-week period that includes opening day and the first weekend of spring turkey. But getting summoned does not mean that I will have to serve so I may be out there come April 13th anyway. Frankly, I would like to serve on a jury just for the unique experience.

I have been on jury duty a couple of times. It is an interesting experience. I hope it is not a murder trial or something really emotional.

Yes, thank you for clarifying that the turkey season for archery, youth, and disabled hunters opens April 1. The regular spring turkey season opens, as usual, the second Wednesday of April which this year falls on April 13th.

Good luck in getting a big tom.
