I live chico ( butte county) and loving the outdoor opportunities up here. My reason for joining the forum is to gain a little info about some birds and maybe find a new hunting partner. I've done a lot of quail hunting and been pretty successful ( even with no dog). Pheasants are a little harder to come across without a dog but I've gotten lucky twice.

Good luck on those doves.
 
First off welcome to UPH, you live in a great part of the state for birds. I live pretty far south of you but make it up to the Gridley area for pheasant hunting a few times a year. Maybe a good place to start to find a hunting partner and a little guidance would be to join the North Valley Pheasants Forever chapter and get involved and meet some like minded folks.:cheers:
