Hunting in Pakistan

This is my buddy from Pakistan and he is a hunting fool just like us here. He hunts doves and ducks in the ag land around his village and chukar and quail in the hills, as far as I know he doesn't have access to any pheasant hunting though. He added me on Facebook a while back and wanted to know what kind of dogs I run, guns I shoot, and how we hunt over here. Arshad hunts over a lemon and white pointer and shoots a Balkai (sp?) SxS or his new trusty autoloader pictured. I'm not exactly sure what kind of partridge or grouse he was hunting today but he was successful as you can see. I thought some of you might enjoy seeing something different.

Here is a pic of Arshad's dog, he may not be the pedigreed dog we are use to but he gets the job done.

He sent me a friend request on Facebook after he saw a picture of my dogs on some hunting page we both "like".

He also loves cricket and doesn't understand baseball lol. I told him, "its alright, I don't understand cricket".

Nice!

That guy looks like he could cover some serious ground following that dog.

lol, looks like quailhound in different gear.:D

nah just kidding, I think Robert has a few pounds on him.:)

Probably lol but I think we'd all be in better shape if we hunted chukar as much as he does.

Now that you mention it, there is a striking similarity:p. Where did you get those hunting duds Robert? If you can get those in like a 4XLT bring me a set when you head northeast.

On another note, it is cool to see someone with the same love for hunting in another country. Makes you feel like no matter what you would still have one thing in common. Kinda like some of us on here. As long as we don't talk about religion, politics, why Labs are superior to other dogs:D, and stuff like that we all get along pretty good.

Lmao!:D:D Sorry Tom, they only make them in chukar hunter sizes.

BDC2, those hills he hunts look steep.

Wow; awesome! Thanks for sharing.

I suppose it's a "hunting world" Thanks for posting these photos Rob.

I love to see what their pheasants look like over there (if he ever gets to them). Maybe nudge him a bit and see if he has any success.

I think he only hunts around his village and as far as his motorcycle will carry him in the hills and he said there are no pheasants around. The Ag land he's posted pics of look like there is some great cover around but they have only native and migratory birds. He wants to hunt pheasants but doesn't have the means to do so but he does have several types of partridge, quail (coturnix), waterfowl, and a few pics I've seen look to be some type of francolin or sand grouse but he said they are pretty rare, that offer him plenty of opportunity.

Arshad was amazed to learn that we have chukar here in California and that the brood stock may have come from somewhere around his home. He has commented on alot of my pictures from the Columbia basin with remarks about how much it looks like his hills, he also asked if there were anyway for me to ship him a covey of Ca quail to release in his village.:D
