How fast conditions change.

Just got 1.1" and it is still coming. I am thinking our pheasants will evolve into ducks if this keeps coming!
***Edit. 1.3" last evening, this is crazy. Should be dry tonight, need to get mowing grass!

1.3" when I checked the gauge at about 6:15 this morning and it was still raining.

**End-up with 1.5"

Another almost .5" Friday and Sat morning.

All this rain is not the normal over the past 5 years. I watered the garden twice early on in a dry 3 week period. Since then, the top is usually moist. The sweet corn did good, gave away the last 12 dozen or so ears this morning.

If you look at the drought monitor, there is almost no drought east of the Rockies.

All of Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin has none except for the very far northwest corner of MN near the Canadian border.

Pretty astonishing.

Could be record yields this fall when harvest occurs.
