How about those Gophers??

The Gophers should be real tough next year. Sampson is the only senior and he hasn't even been playing during this late run. Mbakwe got another year of eligibility so he should be back. I doubt he will turn pro as he needs a strong, healthy year in college to up his stock in the NBA.

Watch out Big Ten, the Gophers will be a force in the 2012-2013 season. Been a long time coming. :)

Even though the NIT has the "also-Rans".

Still this looks good for the young Gophers in the Big Ten next year.
So when is the champion ship Game, is it on ESPN?

Speaking of Gophers, we can't forget the hockey team slated for the frozen four in a week. I think they have the toughest team right off the bat in Boston College. They'll need their best game to win that one.

Somehow the frozen four being in Tampa Florida doesn't sound right..

:laugh: So true so true. That is just not right minded at all. It should be in Ely on a pond.

Zeb, Sampson has been a flop since he got here. Hope he is smart, cause he will be getting a job in the working sector. Maybe equipment manager for IOWA. LOL

Probably no fair to expect him to be a great player like his father. But the kid just didn't quite seem to have it. I never saw any intensity in him. His emotions were always a blank stare and didn't change whether they were winning or losing. No "Fire".

Agree about the location. I was really suprised re the North Dakota game. ND was never in it tho they came on so strong late season. Go Gophers

Yes, it became clear he just was not wanting to be there or maybe not even playing ball. A weird something else going on kinda thing. It would be nice to dig in to his brain and see what the heck is wrong. Just one of those things that has to move on and forget. I hope they get some of the nice talant that is local this year.
