How’s your shooting been?

Shooting has been quite sufficient for me this year. It's been 3 weeks since my last outing due to some other trips, but that will be remedied on Thursday. Total for the season thus far is 11 roosters on 18 shells. No birds have been lost, and no birds that I have shot at have flown away, though some have obviously taken the second barrel. Only 2 of my 11 have been cripples, the rest were dead when they hit the ground.

I'm calling bullshit.

The older we get, the heavier the gun becomes, the joints have limited motion and we miss. It will happen to all of us, just a matter of when. Your definition of old will depend on your age. C'mon goose, you can't honestly think that those stats are unattainable. That is a distinctly mediocre first shot kill percentage. Or is it the part where I haven't lost any birds? Well I should have lost two, but my patience and some incredible dog work, and a good bit of luck helped us find my two cripples.

I'm shooting pretty good when I'm fresh but get worse as I get tired. Did miss one beach ball....twice. In my defense, It got up at my feet My littler 20 was on it in a flash. Then I decided if I shot, I was going to blow him to smithereens. So I waited. big mistake.
