generally don't do anything with my Britt's this time of year- they don't know what 104 degrees means

still they seem willing to blast out and 300 some yards in the field- think they know there's a water tank waiting- got some pretty funny pictures- they blasted out the gate for a few hunder yards for I feel was 20 min before they listened to me and came in- but ran right by me and back out into the field- stupid dogs- you can't go very long without water

It is just so hot and humid here. But starting to dry out.
It is hot enough that it can be dangerous without getting them wetted down.

Its been weeks since I got Ace out for a run,

you are correct- decided to take a picture as they left the gate- clicked as right off but they still got out there by the time the camera got it- they also know there's a bath to come to when they want

GCB- remember where we met- I was there this morning with my Britts-
I found water to the west of there- small pond but the Britt's thought it was the greatest thing in the country

you remember my young male- he was out there a ways- you asked- how long would he be out there and woud he point

he's not been running quite so big lately- think this heat has made him realize you don't get a drink staying way out there- he's been running nicely but turning at 300 yards- could be the heat and that I'm not to far from water- but he's showing he is watching where I am- coud turn out to be a real fine handling bird dog- instead of just wanting to get out furthur than the other dogs-

all 4 of mine live in the house- they spend the night outside in the kennel- because they like it out there- but when it hits 91 I bring them in- nothing wrong with spoiling your bird dog- they sleep or I'd like to think they sleep- most of the day- have had to cut back on their dog food

Great pic! Thanks for sharing.

Same crap up here in South Dakota. Yesterday is was 100 degrees and with the humidity the heat index was 126. Been this way for the past week. Not as bad to day and tomorrow should be cooler (temps in the mid to upper 80's). Tough to do much with the dogs. I did take mine to the lake yesterday for a swim.

now don't laugh- changed the water- it gets green pretty quick

waited a bit- then I got in- you'd think these cazy Britt's would calm down with me in the water tank- it was splash and jump- I got scratched a bit
