How about a Red tail Hawk call? Anybody use one of them?

Years ago I played around with the pheasant call. Mainly used as a locator, but can't say for sure whether it ever worked or not.

Sure can drive your dog nuts though.

I have one, never got the crowing call right, but it does the flushing chuckle great. I really have no clue as to the purpose, whether it's to get the roosters to jump, or make them sit! I had hoped to use it as a locator as well, but silent listening at daybreak seems to work just as well. Quail calls on the other hand work great! Hawk calls irritate me, I've endured a few outings with nimrods who have hawk screams as the locator on their electronic dog zapper. No thanks.
