Uguide Quote: "I have an aversion to folks on this site that call themselves hunters or sportsmen and prophesy doom and gloom. Do they really want to confirm the principle of "Speaking it into existence"? Especially at the expense of those devoting blood, sweat and tears trying to make a difference."

I'm sorry, but this BS has to stop. This entire forum has become a Uguide advertising site.

"devoting blood, sweat and tears trying to make a difference" come on! At least be honest, "devoting blood, sweat and tears trying to make a buck$$$$$$$" or are you going to claim all this spinning of bird numbers for your business is non-profit?

I used to like this site until it became a Uguide advertising portal. I will most likely get banned for this, but getting banned from a Uguide advertising site is not that big of a deal.

Here is just a few of the spinning the bird numbers quotes from Uguide:

Hmmmm. If I count 50 broods flushed during the CRP clipping in late July are my birds down 64%.
I really don't know but doesn't seem like it.

While I was working in the yard there were some random roosters cackling and then a couple thunder claps and a whole bunch went off.

Seeing multiple broods and had one flush of about 20 chicks (although they could fly really well) must have been two broods together.

Also saw a few just hatched (2-3 week old) barely can flyers.
I was just outside the lodge here and it is first light, very foggy, humid and calm. I hear a lot of roosters crowing and so I started to see how long I could count in between pheasant crows. The highest number I got to was 3 seconds in between crows and they were from roosters spreadout over the area. This is the most roosters crowing I have heard in a long time. Not sure what it means but sure seems like there is alot more roosters out there than what I am seeing.

Counts Down But Harvest Remains the Same??

SD Brood Count Survey Guesswork. Hmm?

After last years drought and heat in our area, and seeing my bird number rebound, I welcome the heat since we are hearing ample reports of recently hatched chicks and we have been missing the big heat for crops this summer.

Personally I thank UGUIDE for starting this site - I'm sure it took alot of time - and for the great way he has managed it. I hope that he is making money on his Uguide business. It isn't easy to make a living in rural South Dakota. The Uguide camp is an excellent model for hunters who don't want a big group/hunting lodge type hunting experience. Lots of people have gotten to hunt new places and with new companions through this site. I very much enjoy reading, posting, and responding to threads. Thank you Uguide for it all. I hope to shake your hand someday.

I ask that someone please correct me if I'm wrong........but as far as I know

*Uguide did not start this site
*Uguide does not manage this site

If I'm correct and Uguide did not start this site, and does not manage this site, then this is really funny to me. He has people thinking this is his site, promoting his business!

Noplclkneb, I started, own and manage the site.

UGUIDE does not own or manage the website. He is a advertiser, yes. Advertisers is what pays to keep this website going and every other website for that matter.

You clearly have a issue with UGUIDE and I recommend you take it up with me. I welcome a Private Message with your issue about UGUIDE.

There is no reason for this thread to stay open, because this thread is not productive. It's a private matter.
