Gun wish list

What gun have you always wanted but haven’t bought for whatever reason?

For me I love the Ithaca SKB sxs I have a 200E in 12 g M/F, would love a 200E or 280 in 20 or 12 IC/M. (or both) only place I see them is on auction sites and can’t believe what people pay for them.

I have the Ithaca 280 (SKB) in 20. It is a fun gun to hunt with. My uncle had one when I was a kid that he let me borrow for a quail hunt. I had wanted one ever since then. Finally picked one up

My current wish list is three guns. #1 is a 1950s or 60s Browning Sweet 16. Looked at 3 at a gun show this weekend and they seemed too high priced so I didn’t get one. #2 is a Merkel 1620. 16 ga SxS built on a 20 ga frame. #3 is a Browning A5 Twenty. I have a Light 12, so I need a 20 and a 16 to round out the collection.

Now, the gun I have that I didn’t know I needed until I got it is my Marlin model 90 16 ga. What a great gun. Love those double triggers.

I might post a picture of that Parker on here because there might be somebody who really knows guns. That could tell me a little bit more about it. It has a hand engraved leather case.

Would like to get a Beretta 688 as a dedicated target gun and if Beretta would ever come out with it, I would love to get a .410 A400 to complete my set. Wishful thinking on my part for the .410 :ROFLMAO:

Obi--I have all 3 of the guns on your list; was lucky enough to buy them 10-15 years ago when they were a little bit more affordable. The Sweet 16 is a 28" round knob Mod choked with vent rib from 1967; the Merkel is a 28" pistol gripped gun I bought new at Scheel's in Iowa City and it is probably the best pure bird gun I've seen; just 6 lbs. and sweet handling. I have 2 of the Belgian 20 gauge guns--a round knob 26" IC-choked vent rib gun and my favorite---though I don't shoot it--a like-new Belgian 20 gauge from 1972, vent rib and choked cylinder; hard to find. I love them all.

Sounds like some nice guns, I actually shoot five or six different guns, but I think the one I actually shoot the best is a 1998 Remington 1187 12 gauge premier.

12 gauge fox with 4-weight 28" or 30" barrels. Since this is a wish list, a graded one would be great. But I'd take a Sterlingworth too. It would most likely need new furniture for me to shoot it well.

If I'm going to wish really hard, maybe an English/Scottish drop-lock in 12 bore. You have to say "bore" with those guns :)

It's hard to beat a Westley Richards drop lock!

Never had the itch to collect much for shot guns. I shoot my 11-87 pretty decent, so that is what I hunt with, after a few decades you get to know a gun pretty well. I have enough for a spare or 2 and can outfit a couple guys if needed. Have pretty much what I want, I don't even window shop guns any more. How pathetic is that?

I picked up a 20 gauge LC Smith that was made in the '40s, I didn't buy it but God that gun was sweet and felt good.
I’ve got a 16ga LC made in 1944. It’s really nice to carry and shoot.
