Anybody seen the show GUN IT on Versus? This week's episode seemed pretty un-sporting to me. The host is a character and the show is pretty entertaining, but probably didn't set a great example of bird hunting ethics. It was ALL about the kill #s. Getting a limit seemed to be the most important part of the hunt.
They make hunting look like a lot of fun and appealing to a younger audience, which is good... But it seemed like maybe they were sending out the wrong message.
For those who didn't see it, the show started with a party hunt for pheasants, then there was a goose hunt where they bet on which blind would kill the most, and the show ended with a crew of 6 hunters road hunting out of an RV... I was kind of on the fence from the start, but they definitely lost me when they started road hunting. Throughout the show, the host kept saying, "we won't quit until we get our limit." The body count was definitely the focus of the show.
Just wondering if anybody else saw the show and reacted the same way I did.
Also, before anybody blasts me for being an "elitist", just watch the part where the "hunters" bail out of the RV and start shooting pheasants from the road.
