Gov. Brownback has balls, or at least he will tomorrow night when he attends the Boot Hill Museum's Annual Bull Fry and Bash.;):) While in Dodge the Governor will also be made an Honorary Marshall of the City.

It is the start of Dodge City Days.

Interesting Observation

Mr. Byrd, when you say the Govnuh has "balls," are you saying he's got some nerve showing up in Dodge, or are you saying something else, for example, that in general he's a man with cajones grande? If the former, what is up in Dodge that would make him unpopular?

Just curious. Like all your posts, I enjoyed this one.

Their awesome...just pure meat, like a gizzard but more tender

:eek:You know....there are a lot of better parts on a bull to eat??? Hehehe. Never will understand how ya'll eat balls....Seems almost sacriligious. Must be the heat?

Now I understand. The governor is GOING TO HAVE balls -- mountain oysters, calf fries, bull fries, lamb fries (my fav), what-have-you fries -- when he visits Dodge.

well said- I lived down in Florida for a spell- thought they ate some strange stuff-

Anybody been to "Calf-Fry" in Stillwater, its a weekend long music fest where the main course served under the tent is calf fries. I forget how many thousand pounds of fries they serve. You get one free tray with your admission.....

I used to go to the Deluth smelt fry weekend party, eat, camp, bands and all that applies- I grew out of it

I wonder if he will go back for seconds :)

Yea,

Ya get ur money worth. :10sign: Burgers made from Longhorns.

My daughter worked at Meers about 9 years ago. Built in 1901, if I remember. I live about 3 miles as a Quail fly's. Sits snuggly up against the Whichata Mountains Wildlife Refuge (WWMR).

The WWMR has a annual Longhorn and Buffalo auction each year. I normally pick up one for the freeze box. Slap a burger on the grill every chance I get.

Wow, you remember back a long way.:D

But do they have a hand breaded chicken fry? I always have to ask that for my wife. If I can get a chicken fry steak or some fish & chips for my wife, I can keep her happy.

Your in good hands partner. Okie's do know how too cook good old Chicken Fry. Also gotta brag on the Catfish Fry as well. :10sign:

How many hours will it take me to get to Meers????? I am getting really hungry!

I make the trip to Dodge in 5 - 5.5 Hrs. Faster if ya have a lead foot. Of course at this hour, you just might hit one of those deer on the way.

You ought to give him the honorary "Key to the Ponderosa" for a day while he is in the area.

So if you leave now with my chicken fry you will have it in Dodge by 3 or 4 AM?? I'll leave the light on for you.:)

Plan to stay over and I will treat to nut fry Friday night.
