Got my new Franchi

Little Brit

Went out to the local gun shop and picked up a new boom stick. Franchi Instinct L in a 20 ga. I have 2 other Franchi shotguns and love them one is a I 12 and the other is a 48 AL 20 ga. This will be my third franchi and I can't wait to get out to shot it. Maybe if I can get it patterned I will take it out this weekend for a turkey hunt. I heard Hevi 13 are a good turkey load for 20 ga maybe I'll get a box and try it out.

Little Brit,

FWIW, the Fiocchi Golden Pheasant #5 1 1/4 oz. 3 in. shell patterned just as good as Winchester and Federal 3 in. 1 1/4 oz turkey loads using an HS Strut Undertaker extended tube in my SKB 20.

Your mileage may vary, but why spend half again as much for the same performance if they will pattern for you? If nothing else you will have some good pheasant shells come fall.

IIRC, the Super X Pheasant are about 100 fps faster and there have been reports of them also being very good for turkey hunting.

Enjoy your new gun and good luck bagging a turkey.

Thanks Britlover I'll try that I'm gonna need some bird shells anyway so I'll buy a few different boxes. Thanks again.

I was in the market for an ultralight O/U and after looking at several ordered the Franchi Instinct SL in 12 gauge. It should be in next week. Can't wait to try it out.

I have a Franchi AL 20g for my wife, works well and is extremely light.

Took a few shots with gun the other day and I only had a T shirt on and no recoil what so ever cant wait to get to the range and really test her out. I also have an 48 AL in a 20 semi auto its great on everything from woodcock to deer (shoots a dead straight slug ). When I got to deer camp last year and pulled out the 20 semi the guys gave me the gears for not using my rifle so I made a few bets and to make a long story short I paided for half of my trip hahaha.
