GMO Labeling War - See the How the Big $$$ Works

I'm going to plant a bunch of it this Spring.

Planted RR sweet corn last summer. It was good. Made weed control so easy.

All you guys worried about eating organic should quit eating wild game. There is not a rabbit, squirrel, deer, duck, goose, or pheasant in SD that has not ate gmo food.

Not worried about it moe, probably eat way more of it than I'll ever know. I just like supporting local producers. Nothing wrong with that is there? The strawberry stand down the road isn't organic but they are the freshest strawberries you could ever eat and they don't come from Mexico.

Nothing wrong with that at all. We grow 10 different berries, 17 fruit trees and a big garden, but have no problem with better living through chemicals

This is getting off track but on talk radio I the other day a guy said he would rather buy his tomatoes from mexico than some farmer who was supporting something he didn't like. What a dip that guy was. He would rather by imported produce than that from a local farmer because he had a differing view on something. Real American right? I would gladly pay a little more for an American product than something imported, even if it is moe's gmo rr sweet corn.

Like I've said many times before many of my friends and family are farmers and I understand their need to be productive and profitable but I have to ask how many tons of cotton is the now extinct California grizzly worth? How many extra rows of grapes or almonds is a spring or fall run of salmon worth? How much rice is a wild tule elk worth? Or clean water or air? These are just things in my backyard, questions I have. Thankfuly some of our wild places were spared (probably because of poor productivity) and will be protected forever for our enjoyment.

Q.H. CA probably does grow it.
How about Pineapple? Bananas?
You know, I wouldn't be surprised.

We do up here very much support the local produce.
Minnesota does lead the nation in a few products, or close.:)
Sweet corn, dry edible beans, green peas, potatoes, wood ticks, sceaters, walleye, grey wolves, and probably lots more stuff.

You got me there, to my knowledge no pineapples or bannas in my neck of the woods. I think we do have gmo ticks though. Took the pups up the hill last weekend where I know it has froze every night for a month or so and the dogs still got hammered by them. Damn nasty creatures. I've seen some rr sweet corn on the edges of silage this year, testing it out I suppose.
