Gettysburg 11/20 - 11/24

Looks like we are heading to that area Nov. 4 - 9, 2012. Not sure yet if we will be in West Whitlock or Swan Creek campground, waiting for 2012 hunting atlas to show us where WIA's are, unless someone knows S C just flat out not the place to be. Anyway, shorthairs4life, myself and 1 friend will be camping, oh, and three dogs of course. Only reason we are doing this, right?
So, if anyone in uph nation in that area at that time, be great to hook up and put a face to your name. As boxing ref Mills Lane use to say before his bouts..."let's get it on!":thumbsup:
 
Looks like a change of plans. My hunting partner, shorthairs4life, ripped his achilles tendon in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament last weekend and will be down for six months.:( He asked that we delay our trip for one week to give him that much more time to heal. He will have some mobility at that time, just not 100%. With that being said, we will leave for West Whitlock November 11, hunt the 12th - 16th. Still looking forward to hanging out with ya'll.
Note to all...don't recommend gettin involved in extracuricular activites not associated with hunting past age of 35.
Is this "Bob's" the place to go for steaks? What town?

Bob's resort, straight 12 miles west of Gettys, on the river.
 
birddog, I've never hunted that area so I really can't help you, BUT I'm always looking for a new adventure and meeting new friends. So keep me in mind as I might drive over and hunt a couple days with you guys. I have hunted the Hoven/Tolstoy area east of Swan Creek and that's usually pretty good.

This is what it's all about! Thanks, that's the area we went last season and had an awesome time! With my partner's condition this year he more than likely won't get too far from the truck...lost! He flagged down a farmer in the field and had him give him aride back to the truck...cost him a bottle of Crown Royal for that taxi ride. Got a good laugh at the local establishment that evening.
