Getting Old Sucks

Well, I believe I’m done for the year. A life time of hard use has used up the miniscus in my left knee. I’ve had my right knee done a couple of years ago. So, surgery later this month and 10 months to dream of next season.

This is not the way I wanted to end my hunting season, but everyone has a price to pay for mistreating their body when they were younger and this is my price. It was well worth it.

I can’t wait until next year.

Depending where you are hunting, you could have had 3 more weeks of season, right? Those birds could use a break from your fury too, they might band together and sent a "get well soon" card! Hope everything goes great in the surgery and you have a good recovery/rehab. You will be a machine in the fall!

Look on the bright side, with age you cut back on the grab ass, this should lead to better hunting and enjoyment of time afield.

I’ll know more this Tuesday. I meet with the orthopedic surgeon then. Who knows, with a little luck, I might get out one more weekend before the season ends.
