Fort Riley

Hello all,

We are heading back to Kansas this year for the third year in a row. Been doing pheasants around the Beloit and Lincoln area and have done well. Being from out east we love to quail hunt and have heard some good and some bad about Fort Riley. I am looking for some first hand info about the Reservation. I understand the pheasant hunting is poor to mediocre but am really more interested in the quail population. How good is it? where might I find em if we decide to hunt it? Is there one side or area better than the others? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance as always.

I have seen good numbers on and around the fort. If you would like some good areas I can tell you that just about anywhere this year seems to be good. I live on the fort and can give you some more info area specific according to the map if you would like. Not to sure where you are coming from but I would be willing to show you some good areas when you do get here.
