Hard to Find. Remington 1100 Classic Field 16 Gauge, 26" Ventilated Rib w/ Rem chokes, Satin Finish Stock w/ Diamond grip Cap, 2 3/4 Chambered, 4) Factory Choke Tubes 1)F, 1M, 2)IC
Gun is in VERY GOOD Condition with minor handling marks including a small nick in the upper left of the receiver. Does not come with the factory Box. $50 Shipping to your FFL CONUS

I was looking at one several years ago when they first came out. The one I handled was way too heavy, for me at least, to be carrying around all day.
 
The 16 Classic's weight makes it a good target gun for Sporting, skeet, etc. and with some of the new 16 gauge non toxic loads, even a good duck gun. Speaking only for myself I'd get tired carrying it on an all day South Dakota quest for pheasants. The 1100 has been a great design over
the years and is a fine gun.

With that being said, I have read that the original 1100's were built on the 16 ga. frame of the 11-48's. That is why the stock from a Remington 1100 and 870 12 ga will fit a 11-48 16 ga. I guess a guy would have to take a micrometer to the various 1100's and 11-48's to see. But in the end, what I originally said is true. Remington 1100 16's and 12's were built on the same frame.

I didn't know the 1148 16 was on its own frame. Learn something every day!

Never mind the pic of the nick. I now see it when I blow up the photo of the receiver. Still would like to know where you are located.
