25 MPH winds, temps will drop from 20 above to -10 F over night. Up to 16 inches of snow in some areas.

This is the type of storm you need to design for when building habitat for deer and pheasant. It takes a major complex of habitat to carry birds and other critters through weather like this.

Sittin in my office watching all the vehicles get stuck and the visibility drop to zero.

Got in from road trip to SD back to Mpls last night at 1am. Glad I made decision to get in early rather than stay overnight one more night.

Be safe!

Yep...I hunted NC IA yesterday, made it quick trip with the pending doom... Got in last night myself. Rain changed to snow down here around noon today, temps dropped 10 degrees in less than an hour...were not supposed to get as much snow as you guys, but its supposed to blow pretty bad tonight into tomorrow...

UGUIDE why did you leave?:D I was dumb enough to go out for a couple hours today. Bitter wind chill, the dog had a blast and the birds were sitting so tight we had some of the best points of the season. Had to keep it to small areas of heavy cover not to far from the truck. Sunday should be a lot nicer according to the weatherman. I know I will enjoy tommorrow's hunt alot more.

Snows pilling up pretty fast here. I'll be the lucky one that gets the 14 inches:D Looks like the pheasants will be moving to the groves. Seems kinda dumb the gov't don't want evergreens and honey suckle anymore on the public ground.

As long as it all stays in your yard and driveway, I'm fine with that. :p

Thats not nice:mad::) I got a new skid loader so it's ok going to get to test it's snow moving ability out. Brother has the big snow blower knew I shouldn't of let him use it I'll never see it again. Boy the snows coming down now:(

Yea a lot of fluffy white %$#* over here as well. It is time to start hitting the big nasty sloughs. The ones you have to lean forward every step just to move forward.

Guy on the news just said we have 10'' here in Waupaca and its still coming down. I should have brought more wood in for the fire.

Stay warm!
Scott

Just wanted to let you guys know how bad it is down here in southern Iowa. Still some snow on the side streets, but the main streets are pretty much cement. So snow drifted in the public hunting, the worst I was in yesterday was about 3 foot deep. Seriously, we got off really lucky and thanks to the snow, the pheasants are finally not just running around in the crp any more.

21.5" in Shakopee or simple put 20" in metro area. Don't plan on hunting pheasants near Twin Cities next year. We just got plowed out last night and were shut in all weekend. Just like pheasants looks like the dome was not designed for the weather extremes either.
