We've probably had this discussion before and I will never try and tell anyone the 16 is the same as a 12. But I will say this, the 16's I have carry like a 20. 16's made on a true 16 ga. frame or a modified 20 ga. frame are generally not any heavier than their 20 ga. counterparts. Yet the 16 shooting a 1 oz. or 1 1/8 oz. load will, in most cases, pattern much better than a 20. You can all say and think what you want, but the 16 ga. is one heck of an upland gun.
