I have found that fiberoptic sights are easier to see on a shotgun. I am over 60, and lately I tend to shoot my gun that has a fiber optic sight, better than my steel sights on my old guns. Any opinions?
I think those shotguns made in the '50s, or probably steel sites. But that isn't a bad idea. The 870 that I have has a white fiber optic sight on it, that I think I had a gunsmith installed for me. It may have come from the factory like that it was made in 1996 or 7 I think and it's camel, I think it's a three and a half inch gun.I like them. Not enough to replace all my other sights with them. I think maybe they show up in my peripheral vision. I've found out I can get a similar effect with some 100 grit on aluminum or brass.
I have to call BS on some of these guys. That Limitless guy on here says he's deadly (like near 100% I think) with a red dot sight. Maybe he'll tell you which model & what the secrets are to its use.
I know same here. The times i have 10000 percent focused on the bird, i miss. I got called out saying its impossible to see the sight if youre focused on the bird. Then how come i do!? Im focused on the bird, but theres a blurry dot in front of it that’s the sight. Otherwise, why do high end trapI’ve always been told if you are seeing the sight you are looking in the wrong place.

And sporting clays guns have beads? Reading all that “advice” got me missing. When i just shoot like i shoot, im usually 3-4 shells for a limit.
In theory the mid and end bead help you make sure you have a consistent mount, after that you aren’t supposed to peek at them.I know same here.
