favorite singer/band

Pretty simple question here guys. Whats that one band or song you have liked your whole life? Is it snoop dog, MJ, Madonna, boy George:D I'll listen to about anything but ozzy my band. He stood the test of time. Stevie nicks would be second:) johnny cash third.

Led Zeppelin, RUSH, and Foo Fighters are among my very favorites but I listen to many artists from lots of genres.

Pink Floyd and the album Dark Side of the Moon
Jethro Tull and songs Aqualung and Locomotive Breath

For something really different try the band Hadouken and the song Levitate--you tube search--pick the drum cam video

I like Floyd. Learning to fly one of my favorites. like the movie song thing they did. I had a friend in the service that listened to RUSH non stop not bad music at all.

Most any R&R singer/group from the '60s & a big Jim Croce fan; he was gone too soon.

Jason Boland, all 3 Hanks, Turnpike Troubadors!

Chevelle, Korn, Tool

Its either steel guitars and fiddles or a mean bass guitar and a fast beat for me. I suppose my taste in music is bi-polar.

I like Jason Delrulo and the wiggle wiggle ( fat butt song) my oldest boy and his girlfriend kept playing it while we were on vacation. He was all country before he met her. Funny what a shot of love will do to a guy:eek:

zz top, waylon jennings, pink floyed, rolling stones, johny cash, acdc, tom petty, the band, bob segar,

if i was asked the same question tomorrow i would probably have different list

You guys are listening to some good stuff:thumbsup: You guys see any of them in concert? I seen johnny cash in Branson MO. when I was small he put on a good show:thumbsup:

I've seen: Pink Floyd--Jethro Tull--Charley Danials--Marshal Tucker--The Beach Boys--Heart--Blue Oyster Cult--Kiss--BTO--Kansas--The Rolling Stones--Earth Wind & Fire--John Denver--Seals & Croft--Mannhiem Steamroller--Oliva Newton John--Kenny Rogers --Linda Ronstad---Steve Miller Band--Elvis---Harry Connick--Gretchin Wilson--Garth Brooks--Black Oak Arkansas--- to name a few

My stupid opinions:

The Clovers' "Love Potion No. 9" and their quintessential prom slow dance number, "Blue Velvet;" Johnny Cash singing "Ring of Fire;" "Satisfaction" by the Stones, and "Seventeen" and "Twist and Shout" by the Beatles; "Light My Fire," "Riders on the Storm," and "20th Century Fox" by The Doors. When I put on some music at home it is usually Miles Davis or Thelonius Monk. While hunting in western Kansas I listen to the High Plains Public Radio Saturday morning show, "Western Swing and Other Things," with co-hosts Marshal Bailey and Cowgirl Janie.

Best rock singing voice: Ben Orr, bassist for The Cars, deceased.

Best live concert: Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters, Kansas City, 1973.

Whiskey Myers is a great new voice (new to me anyway). I'm warming up to Stoney. Some of Kevin Fowler's stuff borders on that hip-hoppy, Nashville "country" IMO.

My wife and I saw Boland and the Turnpike Troubadors together in KC Friday night. Its easy to drink too many beers listening to those guys.....

Have you heard of Medicine Stone (music festival) in Oklahoma Chad? They'll have at least 4 of the bands you've listed in attendance.

all the older rock bands. some of this new stuff sounds like capt coot the first time he wore a pair of pants with a zipper and forgot to put his privates back in his pants:eek::thumbsup::D

I've seen The Kinks, The Stones, ZZ Top, Eddie Money, John Hiatt, Rick Derringer, had tickets to see Zeppelin and John Bohnam died before the show, bummer of a refund.

RIP to the great Bonham, he was no Keith Moon or Neil Pert but one of the greatest drummers of all time.
