I like to hunt where the birds want to be. That being said, I like both large wetlands that hold great numbers as well as single ponds that are highly desired by birds. Hip boots are favored over chest waders.

Crisp bluebird day in the duck woods. Although since moving from AR to KS, I'm feeding bird dogs instead of retrievers, so that doesn't happen very often anymore. Not saying retrievers aren't bird dogs...but you know what I mean.
