My recommendation is this: if you look at a pup or a breeding and have any apprehension, walk away. Even if you have a deposit that will be lost, walk away. I've purchased pups from all over the country and the common thread I can tell you from experience is that the little voice in your head isn't affected by the wiggly loveable puppy in front of you. It's telling you to walk away. If it's silent, you may have a warm lap on the way home. Research the breeder and the litter. If that is up to the muster, look at the pups. If the pups meet your standards, get-er-done. Then the pressure is on you to do your part to train and expose the pup to the conditions and birds that you will be hunting. If the breeding is right and you do your part, you should have 12-15 years of bliss ahead of you! Good luck with this pursuit!!!
