I really like the English Pointer.. Haha. I want one that won't try to escape.![]()
I really want a bird dog!! My only problem is that in the neighborhood I live in, we have a home owners association and they like to tell us how we can live.. Our back fence is only 36" tall and I can't put a taller one in.. We have a big backyard and a nice pond behind our house, but I don't want the dog to jump the fence and get loose..![]()
Hunting dogs want to hunt. They're not trying to escape, just fulfilling their heritage. As the human in the picture, we're responsible for protecting them against their desires overriding their safety. Kennels aren't punishment, they are home. If size matters in this instance, a Scott kennel may be the answer when the supervisor isn't home. Any breed of hunting dog will fit your situation if you do your part.
Ryan, you never returned my call. Did you get the answers you were looking for? Didn't want to leave you hanging.
