I’m gonna search for strange mud if I make it back to SD….much could be learned, like gathering samples from Mars…what are we actually dealing with here?

I hunted this frozen lake north of Mitchell. Beautiful pheasant habitat. Way back in there near the outlet,there were 6 birds .There was a small amount of open water in a small crick.I think there was a tiny amount of dry ground in the crick bank.The whole place was very snowed in. I thought for sure I would get a few birds in that place.

The parking lot behind the super 8 in aberdeen has dog mud.I put a chunk of ice on it,to partially cover it.
