Well now the wait is on. I interviewed yesterday for what I would say a dream job would be for a guy like me.

What type of job you ask??
Selling firearms for a national firarms company. It consist of selling guns to retailers and dealers in the U.S. Part of the job would be " Taking client hunting" and promo firearms at trade shows:thumbsup:

I think I have a good shot at it with my military / hunting back ground.

I will know late next week if I got the job.

GLOCK is looking for a "midwest" (ND/SD/MN/IA/NE/KS) sales mgr............

Interesting, may have to look into it is this doesn't work out. I was contacted yesterday by the company to send them my hunting background.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Is the company in question Bushnell? Bushnell and Hodgdon are both in Johnson County. Some of the industry jobs sound good, but you will travel most of the time, which is why there are so many openings....Not only canned hunts to babysit "spoiled/crybaby" writers, but there is a trade show almost every other week somewhere to attend. Not much of a life for a married guy or with young children.

Regarding the GLOCK info, go the the nssf.org website and click on the "industry" link.

It's neither and it's beat what I am doing now...the travel is fine and I have worked from home for the last 4 years so I am ready for a change.

As far as the hunts go I am ok with pen raise birds and I all ready deal with whinnie spoiled clients. At least my dogs my get some work. My boys are now all in middle & high school and the wife said go for it:thumbsup: so why the heck not.

It sounds like you have had a negitive experience in the industry CRP?

Best of luck to you!

I spent 12 yrs in the industry and that was enough. It started out good, but really started tanking in the last 2 years I was in. Today's companies are now being run by the "beancounters", with NO regard for the needs of their customers. They are hell-bent in replacing experience with youthfull exuberance............

Good luck, I hope the situation works out for you.

I hope it works out for you.

If you ever need to seed your hunting party with some experienced shooters, whenever I shoot a bird I would be happy to say, "nice shot" to your client and act like he shot it! It's the least I could do for a free hunt...

Good luck, sir! :)

Thanks guys for the support! Well I go back in for my final interview this morning and it is between me and one other person. I hope to know by tomorrow if I got the job.

Kick'em up!

Winning!

Well, I got offered the job as long as I pass the background check which should be no problem.

Now to answer the question which company....It is CZ-USA working at the HQ in KCK.

Thanks to all of you for your support!

Congrats! If you need someone to demo some of those guns:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: I drive through KCK on my way home everday and I have a place to shoot out here in Tongie...........................I'm just saying.

good show! me personally i would much rather be laying heavy block 100 plus degrees sweating and getting dirty all day now thats living :(

Thanks Gent's!
Pointer, I understand about the 100 degree heat. I have supplemented my income for the last 10 or so years by Rope & Saddle tree pruning and landscaping which i did when I was in my twenties. It sucks working outside right now:mad:
