Anyone use dog boots in western Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado...anywhere else with sand burrs, goatheads, etc.?? What works, what stays on? I have heard some just use duct tape.
I used the lewis boots and they were a huge pain to put on then last year we lost one so after some research i went with http://www.dogbooties.com/index.html and after using them this year Im sold. Real easy to put on,Cheap so I got extras and they stay on. No more lewis boots for me.
I do recommend having boots because of all the stickers/ goatheads. I use Duke's Boots for my Setter and they seem to work well. They are relatively inexpensive so you could buy an extra set for backup if you do lose one.

PS whatever you do, use a cordura boot as rubber and neoprene weigh down the dog and make him work much harder.
