Fifties here in SODAK and another big storm in New mexico Kansas and Texas. Looks like just one snow hunt this year and that was a month ago!

No doubt.I love it but it's not optimum bird hunting weather. Have the doors open on the house this AM and just hand-washed the car. In SD mid-December? This is crazy.

So foggy where I planned to hunt out here this morning that I would have had to put a GPS collar on the birds to find them & a LORAN unit on the dog & I to get back to the rig . . . that's twice dense fog has foiled hunting this spot.

bummer koja...I remember many pea soup days out around moses hole. when it's icy it's even worse. are you down around the dayton area??

Tri Cities . . . fog has been here & THICK for several weeks now. I wasn't about to drop into a canyon with a young dog in this stuff, even with GPS. Visibility was 25-30-feet max. Took a ride out that way just a bit ago to drop-off a gift with the landowner & it was even thicker, so I didn't even attempt to find him at one of his many grain silos. Should have gone Goose hunting this morning instead; probably could have done some pass shooting with a skeet choke, as low as they would have been flying in this soup. Oh well, only 2 days to work this week & we'll be out there again.

Planned to head out in the morning...possible blizzard conditions for TX Panhandle. A chicken from the grocery store may have to do...:)

Too nice to bird hunt.. plus, Im not mad at em anymore. I opted to fish in the boat on LFC yesterday and today, and possibly tomorrow if the weather holds.

Well, I did take a short break from fishing yesterday and hunted for a couple hours. Had to get back to the truck to shed some clothes!

RAINING...Taz would not get out of his barrel; so I did the next best thing; crawled back in bed myself. Have a good day everybody!

It's been mild and rainy here in N. IL.

I love winter, but this mild weather is going to aid in carrying over birds until spring. Considering our winters these past few years this is good.

No good for hunting though. Fields have been very wet. Without freezing temps hanging around it's really put a damper on hunting wild birds this season.

What is is.;)

If your thinking of next year, this open and mild Winters [so far] is in the pheasants favor and ours to.

Fairly mild here in Eastern Nebraska also. Should be an easy winter for bugs, which would be good for the chicks.

They are calling for some snow tonight...but it is just the weathermen calling for it.
