Collar ID Tag

There seems to be varying opinions on what to include on an ID Tag. I have one riveted to the collar that just reads "If found please call" and then my home and cell number. The are those that say you should never include the dogs name on the tag. I've heard others put "Reward if found" plus a number.

Curious here. For anyone who uses an Id tag, what do you include for information?

My dog's tag reads: "My phone no.: [number]"

I have a few stories- of one of mine getting outside the fence

my kids still talk of one

my male wasn't in the yard with the other two one morning- I told my kids-$50.00 if you find him- course most every kid was on the hunt that day-

daughter came running up- dad dad we found him- he's tied up on a porch
I strapped on my 357 mag- we drove 5 blocks- I got out- saw him on the porch tied up-told the kids- stay!

I walked up- knocked on the door- a fella opened the door
I said you have my dog-
he said he was going to go hunting and since it looked like a bird dog- he was going to see if the dog could hunt

nope- never even had a hand close to my pistol- as I untied my Britt

I just ordered new collars with rivet on tags for all three of my dogs today. I got the new transflex plastic style. They seem to be pretty well priced.

I sent a LCS Grand National Collar with name tag and matching GN Lead to the owner of my pup who placed 1st in a field trial- $21.90

do not order the tags from Macks Prairie Wings. I tried 3 times and finally sent them all back to them and asked for my $$ back. The font they use is absolutely impossible to read.
