it's called Musher's Secret. I have some, good protectant for pads during the winter.

I have used this in the past with mixed results. It does help a little with snow balling in the feet but you must keep re-applying it. I've also tried Vasoline but that didn't do much either. With some longer haired dogs it's just a problem. Boots are the other answer if you can keep them on.
My older Brittany has a terrible time with snowballs in her paws. Constantly stopping to bite them out. My younger Britt has a short, flat coat and "tight feet". She never has any snowballs in her paws. Before I bought her as a pup the breeder explained to me that he bred dogs for "tight feet" and that snowballing in the paws would not me an issue. He was right on.
