Back in Nov. I was sitting around crying over the bird numbers over a fifth of wild turkey. Decided I'd just throw the dog in the back of the truck and head west to the happy hunting grounds. Got about as far as Russell, the dog commences to scratching and a barking. So I hit the brakes, dog bales over the side. Must of seen um. Great eyesight I tell you, A strong suit. One way to cover ground I guess.![]()
Greasy? are you talking about the oil in the coat? Most peks have more oil than any other breed ive seen. Its why they can take the cold water so well.I had a big female Chessy that hunted all birds with me for about 12 years.
Outstanding hunter. She loved the water to the point where She would go to water before anything. Was Her only downfall, except maybe a bit greasy.
Good dog though and I Miss Her a LOT!
