Call it an addiction!

Had a great day and a half of hunting. I'm pretty sure it's an addiction. Definitely an issue!!:) Went solo as usual for most of it. Met another guy off the forum. Another fellow Missourian and stand up guy. First day didnt get started really till 230pm. Next day started at 8 and was done by 1. So stats are: 13.6 miles of boot leather, one dog did 42 miles, one did 50, 6 roosters killed, 3 quail, and 3 dogs that weren't quite done hunting yet! Would have stayed another day but had a really good hunt and decided to get home early before the wife expected me. Brownie points! Got 4 of the 6 roosters on points. Birds were holding really well. The last pic is of the last rooster's candy corn spurs. I've killed turkeys with white spurs but not too many pheasants

Nice post PW. I always love the dog pictures.
Merry Christmas

Star of the"limit by 1" picture is that little guy on the corner of the tailgate! Nice work.

Yeah I was kind of letting the quail fly on as I was more on a pheasant mission. Been doing well quail hunting lately and was hunting more pheasant cover. All 3 dogs were locked up on this covey though so I had to knock one down. Didnt follow singles. Saw 3 coveys. 1 big one and 2 were small. And I was hunting in the Midwest!;)
