Has anybody been to Cabelas in Mitchell, SD recently. I was just curious how their 12 gauge ammo inventory was?
Many businesses are giving a 4 day weekend for Thanksgiving, a great hunting holiday! The pheasant season covers a good share of bonus hunting days for the working man. Veterans, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.Thank you everybody for the update. I’m now down to single digits on day counts til I get there next Friday and start hunting Saturday. Gotta love thanksgiving break when you work in education.
if youre heading S about 20 miles check that RunningsI went into Runnings this A.M. and their shelves had a some of everything...EXCEPT, what I was looking for, Winchester steel 2's & 3's...they did have 4's, though. LOL
Was there yesterday. Also checked Runnings and Walmart. Saw nothing in 12 ga I wanted to buy.Dont put all your cards on getting shells in Mitchell
I was in Cabelas there last week twice for dog supplies, both times there was a crazy scene at the ammo aisle. Thankfully i didnt need ammo, but the only stuff there im 12 gauge was the cheap stuff and it literaly was being scraped into peoples carts. I heard one guy say, "ive got 5 cases at home" while grabbing the rest off the endcap...looks like people gearing up for war. I think its that way everywhere...
Look else where, like SoDak, but look everywhere
These guys who pay 20-40 dollars for a box of shells are insane.I say let those fools get stuck with a garage full of expensive ammo, I'll wait til next spring to buy!
i agree with you. Paying that much money for shells is insane but when we travel to South Dakota we pay gas hotel food license etc. what’s an extra $20 for a box of shells to do something we wait all year to do. I have checked all my sporting good stores here all summer and fall and nothing is available. I have some leftover from last year but it never hurts to buy a box just in case. These guys who pay 20-40 dollars for a box of shells are insane.
I get that, lead shells are hard to find this year. I've always stayed under 15 dollars a box.I look at some of the prices these days, and I'm astounded.N
