Buffer width

What's the minimum width in ft that you can have on a buffer strip?

30 feet to 120 feet

Wider is better. Linear narrow edge cover encourages predators to hunt the strip for nesting birds. But any help is good and welcome!

I was going to say 30 on the low side but my PF biologist just told me 180' on a riparian buffer with trees. ??

I think they should change the minimum requirements to 15 or 10 because alot of buffers are coming out right now. I think farmers would leave 15' if it was allowed in program.

The ones in IA on our rellys land and our farm are 150' and work well. Pretty nice going through a whole section. Not sure the min. Birds love it though.
