If you want to take your bird dog turkey hunting, be ready for a flying shot. Shoot lead BB's.
That's a really dumb law. If you read about the roots of turkey hunting in America it was primarily a fall event, and often done with turkey dogs. Their job was to stick right next to the hunter, and either sitting and waiting or still hunting, on command the turkey dog would run into a flock of turkeys full speed and scatter the birds like bowling pins. The purpose was to really break the flock up. Then the turkey dog would have to sit quiet again while the hunter called and waited, in hopes of getting a bird in range as the turkeys attempted to assemble into a flock. Some states do not allow a dog while turkey hunting. MN prohibits it. Its plain as day right in the regs.

I’m not much for turkeys but I think fall turkey hunting would be a lot of fun. That's a really dumb law.
