Bird

Nice work, how are the spurs? The area in Nebraska I can hunt produces punny spur length. I actually brought a prize rooster leg down to my buddy to compare to his turkey legs

Some states do not allow a dog while turkey hunting. MN prohibits it. Its plain as day right in the regs.
That's a really dumb law. If you read about the roots of turkey hunting in America it was primarily a fall event, and often done with turkey dogs. Their job was to stick right next to the hunter, and either sitting and waiting or still hunting, on command the turkey dog would run into a flock of turkeys full speed and scatter the birds like bowling pins. The purpose was to really break the flock up. Then the turkey dog would have to sit quiet again while the hunter called and waited, in hopes of getting a bird in range as the turkeys attempted to assemble into a flock.

That's a really dumb law.

I don't agree or disagree with it, I was just communicating what the rule was.

I really have no interest in bringing my dog with turkey hunting. Patience is the name of my game, not run and gun.
