Best vest and why?

I use a Quilomene upland vest. I dunno if It's the best, but has served me well for the past 15 years or so. The original inventor of this vest has since sold the company I believe and now it would appear they have expanded the line. It has a pouch for the hydration bladder, hip support to take some of the weight off the shoulders etc... not unlike some of the other vests on the market now. Back when I got mine there wasn't anything else like it and it sure beat the pants off the Filson strap vest for sure as far as storage and comfort. Below is the newer version that looks similar but with a couple added bells and whistles.

If you are going to hunt birds forever get a Wing Works vest. And, buy the grouse belt too. It is made in the USA. The very best I have ever had. Right now, I think they are taking some time off. So you would order for next year.

Wings works is currently not taking orders for the next month or so as they are completing some stuff at the business. If you go to the website they will update when orders are being taken again. They tend to have a couple times each year when they don't take orders, mainly due to suppliers getting them product for the vests.
