Beretta Silver Snipe

A local gun shop has an old (I'd guess 60's) Beretta Silver Snipe 20ga that I'm considering, but mostly curious. It is a single trigger with no selector. He has a 12ga that I think is part of a set but I haven't looked at it closely. They are in great condition but certainly not too nice to use.
  • I'm guessing these won't be safe to shoot steel through, can anyone verify?
  • If it is a set does that add much value, either as a user or a collector?
  • I've seen that some of these were offered with double triggers or could be converted after production, is that right and could it be done now?
If you have any other feedback or cool stories feel free to add those.

Yeah some of those old Berettas have double triggers.

Strictly who the importer was…I have an S 56E, it’s a BL4…Garcia was the importer of the S guns…the latter may have been sold in Europe, and the BL’s US items…
I thought they were awfully similar. I bought a Saur Beretta s56e from a guy on here. Forget his handle. 20-gauge, double triggers. 26's. I love that gun. It's my flare nares gun. I had chokes put in it. Hunt with imp. cyl, full. Yesterday dog bumped one at about 30 yards. Gun was up, finger switched to full barrel and dumped him crossing towards me at about 35. I bout creamed myself!! 😁
