SOLD

I decided to sell my Benelli Montefeltro and apply the proceeds to another gun. I just don't use it anymore and the past 3 seasons it has pretty much sat in the gun cabinet. It's a 12 ga. with 24" barrel. I have 4 chokes for it: Full, Mod, IC and Cyl along with the choke wrench. It will also come in the original box. I bought this Monte in Dec. 1998 and have never had one issue with it. It has not been used hard and is in excellent shape. The wood is great with no major dings or scratches. There are 3-4 extremely minor scratches in the stock so small they won't show in a photo. The bluing is also in very good condition with a little bluing wear on the top of the receiver & trigger guard and one small (about 1/4 inch) scratch on the left side of the receiver. Overall I would rate this gun 97-98%. I baby all my guns and they never get abused. I want $750 plus actual shipping charges to your FFL.

What, no interest? Or price a little high? I see the same gun in not as nice condition selling for $700 on GunBroker. New they are a grand or more.

Zeb, I sent this to one of my buddies who might have a need for it.

How does this gun compare with the SBE?

Thanks Chris. The Monte is a different gun than the SBE. I'd say more of an upland gun. It does have a 3" chamber and of course the wood stock. Which by the way has some prretty nice wood for a standard Monte.

Will someone please buy this, so I quit being tempted. This is a great deal

They went to a raised rib on the Montefeltro about the same times as they did with the Super Black Eagle. My 20ga Monti has a raised rib. My first 12ga Monti had the low rib(flat as you called it).

Nice gun for sure George..somebody got a real dandy.

Really? That has to be explained.

SBE have a raised rib

montefeltro flat rib

It was asked what the differences are so I posted.

Sorry, I understand where you are coming from now. It's just your original post all by itself was a little vague. Yes, this Monte had the flat rib which I personally perfer. Mox nix now as it's in the hands of a new owner.

Pictures on benelli's website show montefeltros having a different rib then super black eagles. Clearly a noticable step in the rib on sbe's,supersports,m2 and most every other model where as the monte rib is at the same level as the receiver. Maybe they put the wrong rib on your gun.

I would agree. I don't ever remember seeing a raised rib on a Monte. It's raised on the Ultra Light but not the Monte.

The rib changed and the receiver changed also but the rib isn't exactly the same as the SBE, M2 or ultra light. I'll take a pic of mine. It's not the same as Georges or the new SBE, M2, Ultra light.

Not that it's that big of deal.

now what

George: What gun are you searching for now? I got my eye on the Citori Field 725 in 12ga. About two bills from Buds Gun Shop. Are you in autoloader, ou, or pump mode?
