I noticed that the lack of threads/conversation has increased as the temp's have. Are people not thinking about roosters this time of year? I know I am, just listening to the cackling out back right now got me off my butt and grabbing my binoc's to see who's out there!

Pretty much. At least we caught some Coors Lights. That was the week after I quit my job last year. What a great feeling knowing you have no boss anymore... makes the beer swilling better.

Waiting for Fall

Here in Norther Michigan we only have a very few pheasants, escapees from game farms. So, I'm waiting for fall for my trip to South Dakota. Have been shooting some trap and skeet to keep my hand in. Also shooting some Cowboy Action. First up will be the early goose season starting Sept. 1, after that it's HEAD WEST!

MNMT, nice work! My wife and I spent last 2 days on the Missouri for walleyes and got skanked! She got one 16" keeper and we got so others below the slot but action was pretty slow. Try again in 3 weeks.
