Greetings,
Just wanted ti say Hi. I'm from Texas but have worked as a claims adjuster through out the Mid-West and have loved the people and country and with a 2 yr old GSP and 3 boys 16,14,and 11 we need to come hunt! We hunt PD, deer hogs etc here but for upland birds we need to learn more about the land North. I am on several boards in Texas and if someone needs help hunting or fishing this area always feel fee to ask, I may have a contact. Look forward to learning from you.
Mark

Welcome to the boards Mark from one texan to the next! You'll learn alot from these guys and best of luck to you in your new upland endeavors.

Welcome Mark, I hope you and your sons have a great season. I'm a dog person, What breed of dog do you have?.........Bob

Looks like your a Brittney guy, I had Britts for 21 years, this is our first GSP, one spoiled bird dog is about the same as the rest I guess.:)

Welcome aboard Mark. We've got several Texans who are regulars around here, so you should feel right at home!

Welcome, pull up a stool and paw through the UPH website. Glad to see that you have kids in the hunting sport. enjoy!

Thanks guys. my boys all love to hunt ,fish and play football, fall is a busy time.
Glad there are some other Texans on here, maybe we can get together and discuss the best placement of the corn feeders and blinds to hunt these pheasants so we don't have to walk all over the place looking for them, Ha.

Hell, I thought you guys just drove through the fields down there in Polaris' with mounted turrets (the "blocker" has to drive). :D

That's the plan since they outlawed the dragging of cables.....or was that for jack rabbits.:)
My 11 yr old finished his hunters safety course on-line today and has the range portion this weekend so he will be ready for Kansas, I need to read up on Nebraska rules and armed kids.

Welcome Mark!!! You have your own army with the boys!!!!

Just a word of advice... beware of Kansas this year. I'm not trying to discourage you by any means, but this has been one of the worst years in terms of drought and heat for a long time. It's done quite a number on everything up here, and not just the pheasants.
